The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced this week that three different baby products are being voluntarily recalled by the companies that make them after multiple injury reports were filed about the defective baby items.
- 1st SmartLight Stair Gates are being recalled by Dorel Juvenile Group USA. According to the company, the hinges that hold the gate closed can break - posing a fall hazard if the gate is positioned at the top of a staircase.
- Jump N Jive Doorway Jumpers are being recalled by Graco Children's Products, Inc. after one report of a child removing a loop of fabric from the jumpers and putting it in his mouth. Although no injuries have been reported, the company believes the fabric strip is a choking hazard.
- Circo Booster Seats are being recalled by Target after reports that the booster seat buckle can pop open unexpectedly, posing a fall risk. An estimated 43,000 seats have been sold. Consumers should return the seats to Target for a full refund.
