| Virginia Beach Motorcyclist Runs Red Light, Dies In Crash |

On Saturday, June 20, 2009, a Shore Drive motorcycle accident left one man dead. The bike accident took place a few minutes before noon at the often-dangerous intersection of Shore Drive and Diamond Springs Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Virginia Beach Police spokesperson Adam Bernstein told reporters that witnesses saw the driver speeding southbound through a red light. In the intersection the rider lost control of his vehicle and collided with the median. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene of the accident, as he had suffered severe head trauma. Killed in the motorcycle accident was 38-year-old Jason Gregory Potts of Virginia Beach. Police are still investigating the cases of this fatal Virginia Beach motorcycle accident.
