| VA Man Dies In James River Bridge Motorcycle Accident – Wind Blamed |

One of the many reasons that motorcycle accidents are often more deadly than car accidents is that motorcycles do not have the four-wheeled stability shared by most other vehicles. This fact was certainly an issue in a fatal Virginia motorcycle accident that took place in Norfolk, VA last Saturday night.
Virginia State Police say that 60-year-old Garlon Turner was crossing the James River Bridge on his motorcycle around 8 PM when a gust of wind caused the man to lose control of his bike, skid across the highway, and finally fall over the bridge. Turner was pronounced dead at the scene of the Norfolk motorbike accident. The southbound lanes of the road were closed while police investigated the accident. No other vehicles were involved in the VA motorcycle accident, which police say they do not believe involved speed or alcohol. Read Article |
