The American Association of Justice just released a list of the ten worst insurance carriers operating in America, and the clear cut "winner" (if such a term can be used) is Allstate. It turns out that you aren't in such "good hands" after all.

The list is based on whether or not each insurance company fully embraces the philosophy of "deny, delay, defend" strategy, which essentially puts policyholders in a horrible financial situation. By simply denying claims, delaying hearings, and defending each denial to the fullest, most people who fight claim denials end up broke.

Allstate embraces this philosophy with gusto.
