Tallwood High School Student Dies in I-64 Crash In Norfolk VA PDF Print E-mail

The Virginian Pilot Online has reported that a 17-year-old high school student from Tallwood High was killed in a car accident on February 16. Kadeen Tyquan Daniels of Foxton Road in Virginia Beach was a passenger in a car that crashed while driving eastbound on Interstate 64 late Monday night. Daniels was not wearing her seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. She died at the scene of the car accident.

Virginia State Police believe that reckless driving was a factor in the deadly car accident - the car ran off of the road and struck an overpass and a guardrail, according to Police Sergeant and spokeswoman Michelle Cotton.

Three other passengers in the car, all teens aged 15 to 20, were brought to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred a half mile west of Grandby Street.

Daniels had recently begun attending Tallwood High School and was a freshman this year.
