Virginia Police are investigating a fatal car accident that occurred early Saturday morning, March 20. The accident killed the driver, 37-year-old Elisabeth L. Kearse and seriously injured two 11-year-old girls riding in the back seat of the car.
According to Caroline County officials the woman was driving a Toyota Camry on the Richmond Turnpike just past the Route 648 interchange when the car veered off of the left side of the road and struck a tree. The children, one of whom was the daughter of Kearse, were rushed to VCU hospital where both are recovering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Kearse was airlifted to Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital but died of her car accident injuries. VA police are unsure of what caused the accident or why the three were driving at 3 in the morning. They do not think that speed or alcohol were factors in the VA car crash. Read Article |
