“For me, the most satisfying aspect of being a lawyer is playing a part in the evolution of the law in favor of those most in need of justice.” Billie is a 1989 graduate of the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where she served on the Law Review. She began her legal career at Kaufman & Canoles, P. C. in Norfolk and joined Breit, Drescher & Breit, P. C. in 1990, where she remained for six years as Jeffrey Breit’s associate before moving to Richmond and forming Second Chair, Inc., a legal research and writing service. She joined the National Legal Research Group, Inc. in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2007. During her tenure with Second Chair and NLRG, Billie drafted a multitude of winning trial and appellate briefs which have had a significant favorable effect on the rights of personal injury plaintiffs in Virginia and other states.

Billie joins Breit, Drescher for a second time to work on the Deepwater Horizon / BP Oil Spill case for Breit, a member of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. “The opportunity to work for Jeffrey on behalf of those injured in the Deepwater Horizon disaster is nothing short of an honor.”
